How to support the Bradley Lowery Foundation holiday home project

Super Brad’s Pad – proposed by the Bradley Lowery Foundation in memory of the six-year-old football fan – will open in Scarborough, providing a special place for families with poorly children to make precious memories.

And now, members of the public are being invited by the charity to show their support for the project and become part of the safe haven, thought up as part of Bradley’s lasting legacy.

The Blackhall youngster died in 2017, just weeks after his sixth birthday, following a battle with neuroblastoma cancer.

His family and friends set up the Foundation which bears his name in the aftermath of his death, with the aim of supporting poorly children fundraising for medical treatment or equipment.

Now, the organisation is offering the chance to buy a brick for the holiday home’s memory garden and become part of the project.

A statement on the Bradley Lowery Foundation Facebook page said: “ Would you like to support the holiday home but don’t know how?

“How about purchasing a brick which will be situated in and around our amazing memory garden.

“Each brick is engraved with your company or organsation’s details, as well as advertised on our social media, website and holiday home guestbook.

“It is an amazing way to support ‘Super Brad’s Pad.”

Last month, the Foundation was given the green light from the home’s architect, contractors and Scarborough Borough Council to start work at the site, following a delay due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Bradley made a huge impact during his short life, with thousands of people across the country supporting him during his cancer fight.

An avid football fan, the six-year-old was thrust into the spotlight when he acted as mascot for his beloved Sunderland AFC.

He later went on to mascot for England, alongside best friend Jermain Defoe, and Everton – his so-called “second favourite” team.
