Five-year-old Arielle from Sunderland is bringing cheer to her school friends and neighbours by creating colourful bird feeders out of recycled bottles and hanging them for people to see.

Five-year-old Arielle Carrick, from Moorside, Sunderland is bringing cheer to her school friends and neighbours after not being to see them during lockdown.
Arielle, who goes to Benedict Biscop C.E Academy has been creating colourful bird feeders out of recycled plastic bottles.
“We then decided that we would make some more and put them in places for people to find them. All her friends have been sending us messages and photos once they find them.”
Gemma added: “Loads of people have been spotting them when they are out walking their dogs.
“I’m really proud of Arielle and I am glad that she has been able to bring some cheer and boost community spirit during these times.”
