Hays Travel is hiring homeworking travel consultants and no experience is necessary

The UK’s largest independent travel agent is offering those with a passion for travel the opportunity to work at home and be their own boss as a self-employed travel consultant.

Hays Travel, the company that rescued the Thomas Cook retail operation last October, is expanding its nationwide homeworking division to support the anticipated demand for holidays as the Covid-19 lockdown eases.

The company retained the majority of its 3,000 retail staff working from home during lockdown and has now re-opened the majority of its 650 branches around the UK.

There are already over 200 self-employed Hays Travel consultants who work in their own home.

The opportunity to join the team is available to anyone regardless of experience – but those who do apply need to have exceptional customer service skills, a lively personality, and the ability to build rapport with customers over the phone, by email, social media and face to face.

Hays Travel is also continuing to recruit experienced travel agents and apprentices for roles in shops across the UK and at the head office in Sunderland.

Consultants can work as much or as little as they wish, with some of the most successful earning up to £100,000 in a year.
