Police launch appeal to find missing man last seen leaving Sunderland hospital

Officers are appealing to the public to help find a missing Newcastle man who was last seen leaving Sunderland hospital.

Northumbria police are keen to locate missing Lee Convey, 39 from Newcastle who was last seen leaving Sunderland hospital at 7.15am on Tuesday, June 16 and has not been heard from since.

Officers say Lee may have used the train to travel around or out of the Force area.

The 39-year-old has been described as white, around 6ft 4in tall, medium build with short brown hair, stubble on face and may be wearing glasses.

He was last seen wearing navy blue jeans, a navy blue jacket and navy blue Hugo Boss training shoes.

Lee may also be carrying a bag.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Lee’s welfare and are now appealing for anybody who knows his whereabouts, or who thinks they have seen him, to come forward.

“Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting 1155 070621.”
