“The chance to win a car for Christmas and support some great good causes at a time when many are facing their biggest challenge to date in light of the Covid-19 pandemic is a potent combination and we hope the public will get behind the draw."

The Bradley Lowery Foundation, based in Blackhall, was set up in 2017 as a legacy to Bradley, six, who captured the heart of the nation with his brave fight against neuroblastoma cancer.

It supports other children who need it with fundraising.

Lynn Murphy, co-founder of the foundation, said: “Charities everywhere, many of which like the Bradley Lowery Foundation provide vital and lifesaving services to those most in need, have seen their fundraising efforts badly affected by the pandemic.

“The Great Northern Raffle is a fantastic initiative and we’re delighted to be able to collaborate with other amazing charities and offer this fantastic prize.”

Entries close on December 31 and winner announced on Monday, January 18.
