Can you help track down Sunderland man's family as city's coroner searches for relatives

An appeal has been launched to try and trace the family of a man who died in hospital after he collapsed in the street.

Paul Cooper was taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital for treatment on Saturday, November 30, after he was found in St Michael's Way in the city centre.

The 57-year-old, who lived in Leamington Street in Millfield in Sunderland, died on Thursday, December 12.

It is believed Mr Cooper was unemployed at the time of his death and may have had a brother called Maurice.

Any members of his family or one anyone who can pass on information which can help trace them are asked to contact coroner’s officer Neville Dixon, who is handling inquiries into his death.
