Asda will be the first supermarket to open a Greggs concession in-store as part of a trial to deliver on the go food to their shoppers.

Asda, one of the biggest supermarket chains in the UK will be the first to open and in-store Greggs concession across five of it’s supermarkets as part of a trial, next month. These stores include, Boldon, Corby, Huyton, Wigan and Eastlands.

Shoppers will be able to choose from the same Greggs’ standalone menu, which will also include the vegan sausage rolls and new vegan steak bakes and as part of the launch.

In preparations for this new partnership, Greggs is recruiting around 40 to 50 new staff for the in-store concession.

The link-up is the latest to be tested in a selection of Asda stores, who already work with brand Sushi Daily and Just Eat to bring a range of ‘Food to Go’ options to shoppers.
