A mystery woman from Tyne & Wear wins £1million Lotto prize

Known only as Mrs R from Tyne & Wear, she matched five main numbers plus the bonus ball in the draw which took place on Wednesday, March 10 to pocket the six-figure prize money.

The lucky woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, has only revealed that she plans on treating her family with the winnings.

Camelot’s Andy Carter, the Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery has praised Mrs R for the life-changing win and wished her well in spending the prize money.

He said: “Huge congratulations to Mrs R for winning this fantastic prize. She has become a millionaire overnight and can look forward to treating her family with her life-changing win.”

Mrs R has become one of over eight million players that win each week via The National Lottery’s range of games and since its launch in 1994, has awarded around £78billion in prizes – creating more than 5,900 millionaires or multi-millionaires in that time.

Big prize winners have the opportunity to release their name, remain anonymous or like Mrs R, release only a few details about their plans for the money.

Anyone who plays online will receive an email notification if they have won a prize and can also take part in a number of online games.
