15 photos from the Clap for our Carers at Sunderland Royal Hospital
Every Thursday, the nation has been applauding its frontline health workers.
The Clap for our Carers began as viral campaign, with people showing their appreciation for the work of the NHS from their doorsteps and windows.
And we are still advised to do just that – stay at home and limit potential for COVID-19 to spread.
Workers at Sunderland Royal Hospital have been stepping outside the building to take part in the event.
The best way to show our support is from our own homes – but with this selection of photos from tonight’s event, you can feel like you were there ...
