Families have enjoyed a visit to Sunderland’s beaches to make the most of the warm weather this weekend.

Plenty of people took the opportunity to enjoy the sun at Roker on Saturday, May 30 as the country slowly eases out of lockdown.

Restrictions are set to be relaxed further from Monday, with people allowed to meet six friends or family members outside – as long as they stick to the social distancing guidelines.
