And as Lockdown 3 continues, we have been asking you to look to the future and share your hopes for later in the year when things will hopefully become a bit safer for us all. Your messages of positivity and what you’re looking forward to at a later date – from seeing loved ones to dining out – gave us a real lift. Here is a round-up of your aspirations for a safer time. From the stands, not from the sofa!
While pubs and bars did re-open to the public in the summer, they have been closed in the North East for many weeks.
That feeling of being with your friends at a gig or festival ...
Whether you fancy a trip abroad or a staycation, loads of you couldn't wait to get travelling again when the world is safer.
Having food cooked by someone else and enjoying it in a restaurant or cafe.
Going to your parents' house for tea, or round to your friend's for a cuppa.
Cuddling someone outside your household may be a long way off, but it is still something to look forward to in future.
Much of 2020 saw us stay connected with our loved ones virtually. Let's all hope for a time where we can be physically together again safely, soon.
