With 2021 well and truly under way, property expert Michael Hodgson identifies the areas of Sunderland set to the most attention this year.
From leafy suburbs to the new estates springing up across the city, these are the ones to watch.

9. Seaburn
The Stack is the latest addition to a range of venues including Martin's, House of Zen and Salt Kitchen that make Seaburn seafront buzz.

The site has been empty since staff and students moved to the new city centre campus in 2016.

Fulwell has always been one of Sunderland's most desirable areas and continues to attract significant interest.

On the very fringes of Sunderland, just the other side of the border with South Tyneside, Whitburn is one of the most picturesque areas not only locally but in the entire North East.
