One person taken to hospital after a three-vehicle collision in Seaham

The North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) confirmed they attended a three-vehicle collision in Seaham’s Station Road at 18:05 on Monday evening (April 26), as the fire service helped release one of the patients from a car.

Two people were treated at the scene, while one person was taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital.

A spokesperson for NEAS said: “We were called to a three-vehicle RTC at Station Road in Seaham at 18:05 this evening. We sent a specialist paramedic, a rapid response paramedic, a hart team (hazardous area response team) and an ambulance.

"The fire service also attended to help extricate a patient from a car.

"Two patients were treated at the scene and a third was taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital.”

Durham Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they were called to a car crash at 18:08 on Monday (April 26). Two appliances attended and crews left at 18:53.
