One person taken to hospital following a collision near McDonald’s on North Moor Lane

One person was taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital following a collision between a car and a motorcycle near a McDonald’s restaurant in Sunderland.

The incident happened on North Moor Lane, near to McDonald’s, in Sunderland at around 2.15pm on Wednesday, January 13.

It is understood that one person was taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital following the crash between a car and motorcycle.

The condition of the patient is currently unknown at this time.

A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We got a call at 2.10pm to a collision between a car and a motorcycle on North Moor Road.

"We dispatched one paramedic ambulance and took one person to Sunderland Royal Hospital.”

A Northumbria Police spokesperson added: “We can confirm there was a road traffic collision on North Moor Lane near McDonald’s at 2.15pm.

"One patient was taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital however their condition is unknown at this time.”
