Old comedies are real treat

On March 31 the Echo had a story on the best comedy act that ever was, Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy.

In my mind they were, and always will be, the best.

Some time ago I bought a folder with photos and a book, entitled Laurel and Hardy Comedy Legends. I’ve also bought a book from W H Smith entitled the lighter side of Laurel and Hardy, full of information and films.

I also wrote to the library and got what I asked for, the words of the Trail of the Lonesome Pine From Way Out West.

Another of the British comedy greats is also in one of the books that I have bought – it is Norman Wisdom.

They even knew the girl behind the voice of the cartoon character Betty Boop.

One of the films I think is a classic is the Western Way Out West, to me that is the best, but saying that there’s many more of Laurel and Hardy’s best works.

John Wayne, is another great name, when you see that name it will be a classic western to watch. The same goes when the name of Laurel and Hardy is there, you now you will be in for a treat – a good comedy classic.
