North East's sky high dining experience changes location

This year’s Newcastle in the Sky event, which sees diners tuck into meals whilst suspended 100ft in the air, was due to take place at Newcastle’s Stephenson Quarter.
But after ancient ruins were discovered, which have delayed the renovation works to the area, it’s been announced that the dining experience will return to its location last year outside Sage Gateshead.

Jacqui McKirdy, event director of Newcastle in the Sky, said: “We are happy to return to Performance Square, the views of the river and bridges are spectacular. With our title sponsor DS Automobiles and other exciting changes, the team are more determined than ever to deliver another outstanding event in the heart of the North East.”
The event table seats 22 guests, with a guest chef, sommelier and waiting team serving from the pop-up kitchen in the centre of the table in the sky. Guests are securely fastened into their seats before the table is raised to the height of 100 feet and their gourmet experience begins.
Tickets for the event, priced from £50 for breakfast to £150 for an evening meal, are on sale now.
