TRAFFIC - Update at 4.40pm

A broken down car is causing delays on the southbound A19 just before Testos roundabout.

Recovery is on route but there is a lane closure in place.

This may cause congestion in the area so please allow a little extra journey time.

TYNE AND WEAR METRO - update at 11.28am

Tyne and Wear Metro say due to two trains being withdrawn from service it currently has delays between St James' - South Gosforth in either direction.

BUSES -STAGECOACH, GO NORTH EAST, ARRIVA NORTH EAST - Updated at 9.55am

Go North East says there is a gap in service on route 23 where engineers are attending a defective vehicle. .

SHIELDS FERRY

There are no reports of problems with the ferry.

NEWCASTLE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

No delays reported.

DURHAM TEES VALLEY AIRPORT

There are no reports of any delays.

RAIL

Due to a landslip between Workington and Whitehaven all lines are blocked.
