The tour will see the popular five-piece play almost 30 dates in the next few months, with a performance at The Studio, Tower Street, on June 17.

Highlights will also include a date at Newcastle’s Cumberland Arms on May 29, and a slot at The Willowman Festival in North Yorkshire on June 18.

Gig-goers will be able to hear music from the band’s forthcoming summer EP.

Singer Max Bianco said: “We are delighted to be back on the road for the summer and can’t wait to see all of our fans up and down the country. From great festivals to charity home-coming gigs, all of the boys are raring to go.”

Having played more 400 live shows, the band has developed a firm following on the music circuit with a relentless touring schedule that has seen them land support slots with the likes of Jake Bugg, The Charlatans, Alabama 3 and Hyde & Beast.

Their debut single became the most requested song in Radio Hartlepool’s history and after joining forces with ex-Squeeze bassist Keith Wilkinson, they are picking up an ever-growing army of admirers throughout the UK.

To give something back to their home town, the band last year organised the We Are Family festival at the derelict Jacksons Landing site, which attracted hundreds of music and food fans, who gathered to see more than 15 acts perform over the course of the day including indie rock band Frankie & the Heartstrings and Northern funk duo Smoove & Turrell.
