Newcastle 'prepared to outbid Tottenham for Berahino'


The 22-year-old has long been a transfer target for the Magpies, who desperately need a goalscorer to haul themselves away from the Premier League's relegation zone.
It has been suggested that owner Mike Ashley would sanction breaking the club transfer record - the £16m paid to Real Madrid for Michael Owen - to land their man.
