'˜Motivated' Ellison backed to test

The 20-year-old, who impressively stopped Chris Conwell in Preston last week for a third win in five bouts, will fight a four-rounder indoors at Villa Park against Midlands prospect Louis Fielding.

Fielding has won six of his seven fights and Ellison’s coach, Peter Cope, said: “Yes, we are on away territory again, but it’s another winnable fight if the Jordan of last Saturday turns up.

“Jordan has no qualms about being on the road. He wants to build his experience and he wants to be busy.

“That was the first time i’d seen him fight last week and he was outstanding. He’s really motivated and upbeat.”
