Police searching for a 12-year-old girl last seen in the Murton area say she has been found safe and well.

Police confirm the missing 12-year-old has been found safe and well

Durham Constabulary officers say Kiera Simpson has last been seen in the Murton area at around 1pm on Tuesday, March 9.

An appeal on social media was launched on social media, which included a picture of the girl, calling for people to contact officers if they saw Kiera .

Durham Constabulary has now confirmed she has been found safe and well.
