Metro trains back running after cable theft knocks out services
Metro trains are back in operation after a suspected cable theft knocked out services.
Trains were suspended between Hebburn and South Shields until after 11am this morning.
Engineers had hoped to have services up and running by 10am, but found further damage which increased the delay.
Metro tickets were being accepted on buses while the trains were off.
