Metro service still suspended on Sunderland line
Metro services between Pelaw and Sunderland still suspended - with no news on when they might be restored.
Nexus, which runs the service, says a technical fault is to blame for the problem
There were no trains all day yesterday between Pelaw and South Hylton.
Today, there is no service between Pelaw and St Peter’s, in both directions until further notice.
A replacement bus service, the 901, is calling at or close to closed stations, between St Peter’s and Heworth.
