Marnie needs '˜more self respect' after flashing, says former Big Brother star

Marnie, a cast member on Geordie Shore, received backlash recently after she flashed her breasts at fellow contestant Saira Khan on Celebrity Big Brother.

She had been involved in a heated argument with the Loose Women presenter earlier that day and outraged viewers when she pulled down her top and gyrated her breasts in Khan’s face.

The incident was seen as bullying by many people, with 79 complaining to broadcast regulator Ofcom and some even suggesting she should be removed from the show.

Yesterday, Marnie was branded an “embarrassment” to South Shields by former mayor Coun Ernest Gibson, and now Alex, 24, has spoken out, saying Marnie should “have more self respect”.

Alex, from Whiteleas, who now works as cabin crew, said: “I’ve never watched Geordie Shore, but from what I’ve heard about it, the girls on there do this sort of thing all the time, so I’m not really sure why so many viewers are surprised at her acting this way.

“When you’re in there, you do forget about the cameras and when people have had a drink they’re a lot more loose, but she should remember that she’s not on Geordie Shore right now.

“On that show, they’re expected to act that way, and everyone else on the show is doing the same kind of thing, but there are some older and more respectable people on Big Brother who won’t appreciate that kind of behaviour and she should remember that. She needs to have more self respect.”
