Man's body found in car parked at Seaham Hall Beach

The body of a man has been found in a car in a Seaham car park on Friday morning (December 4), Durham Constabulary has confirmed.

Police officers cordoned off Seaham Hall Beach car park after being called to the area at around 10.20am.

A man’s body was found in a car and officers say there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

A file is now being prepared for the coroner.

Members of the public were urged to avoid the area by officers earlier today as the car park, which is located off the B1287, was sealed off by emergency services at the scene.

A spokesman for Durham Constabulary said: “A man was found deceased in a car in the Tonia’s cafe car park in Seaham this morning.

“It is not believed there were any suspicious circumstances and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
