Man arrested as part of investigation into alleged sex attack on girl in Washington
A man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault on a girl.
Northumbria Police said the incident happened between 9am and 9.15am on Wednesday, March 30, when a young teenage girl was touched inappropriately over clothing when she was walking along Dilston Close in Washington.
Inquiries are ongoing into this matter and a 22-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and released on bailed as the investigation continues.
