Emergency services have been called to reports of concern for a woman at a property in Sunderland.

There is a large police presence in the street with witnesses saying there are currently five police cars and four ambulances parked up in the area around Satley Gardens, in Tunstall.

Emergency services were first called to the property shortly after 10am on Wednesday, February 26, and remain at the scene.

A spokesman for Northumbria Police said: “Shortly after 10am today we received a report of concern for a woman at an address on Satley Gardens, Sunderland.

“Emergency services are at the scene.”

The North East Ambulance Service confirmed that it sent two double-crewed ambulances to the scene alongside two of its Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) crews and a critical care manager.

A spokeswoman added: “We were called to an incident this afternoon at a private address in Satley Gardens, Tunstall, Sunderland.”
