‘Lit up every room’

In a touching tribute to Jordan, his family revealed that he would “light up” every room and that they are “destroyed” at his passing.

They said: “Jordan will be sadly missed by his mam, Angela, his siblings Ryan, Lewis, Jamie, and Charlie, his right-hand man, his dog, Tyson, and his beloved family and friends.

“Jordan was the life and soul of the party who lit up every room he walked into. Our family’s hearts are destroyed.

“We would like to thank everyone for their support during this difficult time, and would ask that we are left alone to grieve in peace.”

The crash happened on the northbound carriageway between junction 62 and 63 at around 10.50pm on Sunday.

The road was closed for over 12 hours as the emergency services dealt with the incident and police officers carried out their investigations.

Durham Constabulary have stated that Jordan was driving a black Mercedes A Class which is believed to have struck the central reservation before coming to rest on its roof.

Second death
