Letter of the week: 'Does someone have to die at Sunderland junction before something is done?'
It happens on all junctions.
I now wait until it’s clear before moving off.
I notice there doesn’t appear to be any cameras on the lights, if there are they don’t work.
It is not a one-off, it happens nearly every time.
I would also point out from the roundabout to Penshaw it seems to be a testing track for speeding, they don’t ease up at all until they get to Shiney Row.

I would like to know why the police don’t consider putting speed cameras on now and again, even the presence of a patrol car would slow them down.
Just to remind drivers just past the allotments the speed limit is 30mph not 50mph.
Does someone have to be killed before anything is done.
