Let's Rock the North East retro festival to take place in Sunderland next year

A huge retro festival promising a fabulous line-up of 80s music will be staged in Sunderland next year.

Hacienda Classical was staged in Herrington Country Park in 2016.

Let's Rock the North East will take place in Herrington Country Park in June 2018.

The family-friendly event, which will feature a range of artists as well as activities for visitors of all ages, will run from 12pm until 10.30pm.

Hosted by Pat Sharp and Dave Benson Phillips, the festival's entertainment has something for everyone, with the full line-up due to be announced on October 27.

A Kids' Kingdom area will also be set up at the festival, featuring an interactive circus, face painting and inflatables.

Let's Rock the North East takes place on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Herrington Country Park.
