The Uruguayan businessman has bought a 20% stake in the club and has now been granted EFL approval.

Donald confirmed that the deal will be finalised in the coming days and that Sartori will be at the Stadium of Light this Saturday.

Speaking to fans at the Red & White Army AGM, Donald also revealed that he hopes to have Sunderland back as a stable Premier League club within five years.

Sartori's connections in the game are sees as key to that vision and Donald expects him to play a major role as Sunderland move forward.

The Red & White Army were formed last season to try and improve relations between the club and supporters.

While the club's communication has increased dramatically since Donald's takeover, the group intend to ensure they are a 'consistent, measured voice throughout the ups and downs'.
