Fire fighters from Farringdon fire station were called around 5.30pm yesterday, Sunday, June 23.

Acting watch manager Simon Robertson said: “ It was about three miles south of the A690.

“It was a jazz band on a big 52-seater coach. They were all out by the time we arrived.

“The fire was in the coach’s engine block. It took three pumps with hose reels to put it out.

“No-one was hurt and a new coach arrived to pick everyone up.”
