In pictures: Remembering the Southwick Village Farm of the past

As Southwick Farm prepares to reopen under a new team, we look back at the Southwick Village Farm in the days before it closed.

The farm originally opened more than four decades ago on reclaimed wasteland, and became a popular school trip destination.

We've pulled together some pictures from its past.

Children and adults alike loved the farm and its animals, which included cows, pigs, sheep, goats ducks and geese

But the farm ran into difficulties in the late 1990s, hit by vandalism, burglaries and funding problems.

Now it's being brought back by training organisation Springboard to use for educational programmes and community development activities.
