How did Sunderland striker Andrew Nelson do on his Harrogate Town debut?

The Under-23 forward has joined Vanarama National League North outfit Harrogate on a 28-day youth loan and made his debut in their 2-2 draw with Leamington.
He didn't get on the score sheet but his overall play impressed manager Simon Weaver, with Harrogate retaining their position at the top of the league.
Nelson played the full 90 minutes.

"He was forced to come in deep and we could have looked at getting into his feet a bit earlier at times and perhaps he didn't have the chances created for him that we would have liked.
"But he will be all the better for playing 90 minutes."
The 20-year-old, who is yet to make a first team appearance for Sunderland, has been a regular for the Under-18 and Under-23 sides.
The strong and robust striker was sent out on loan to North East neighbours Pools last season but his spell was cut short by a serious knee injury, Nelson making just four appearances before returning to the Academy of Light for treatment.

Hide AdAs previously reported by the Echo, there was summer interest in him from a number of Scottish Championship clubs.
* Meanwhile, Nelson's Sunderland Under-23 teammates return to action this Sunday when they host Manchester United in Premier League 2 at Eppleton Colliery Welfare, Hetton (KO Noon).
Elliott Dickman's side beat Everton 1-0 last week, a result which saw them move up to 10th in the 12-team league. Manchester United are bottom ahead of Sunday's Under-23 game.
