Hetton - Down Your Way

Easington Lane Community Access point is hosting a coffee morning on Saturday at the Access point from 10am to noon. Homemade cakes, bric-a-brac and clothes will also be on sale with all money raised going to the ELCAP.

Moorsley and District CA is holding a fundraising coffee morning in aid of the Alzheimers Society on Friday, January 29, from 10am -noon at the Hut on Moorsley Road. Activities will include a raffle with some great prizes, a tombola, games and delicious cakes to buy. Everyone is welcome.

Eppleton Cricket Club will be running two junior cricket taster sessions one at Hetton Comprehensive School and one at the Emirates ICG (Riverside Indoor School). The session at Hetton School will be a full training session with the session at the Emirates being a net training session. The session at the Riverside Durham will be held on Sunday from 2pm to 3pm for under-13s and under-15s. While the session at Hetton School will be held on Thursday, January 28, from ​7pm to 8pm​ for ​under-11s and under-13s​. Both sessions are £2 per player.New players are welcome. Hetton Local and Natural History Society will meet for its AGM on Monday, January 25, at 7pm in Hetton and Eppleton Community Hall. The speaker will be Michael Johnson, a university lecturer of architectural design history and co-author of the architecture of Sunderland 1700-1914.
