Hetton - Down Your Way

Sunderland Age UK is hosting an Easter coffee morning in the Barnard Cafe in the Hetton Centre on Monday, March 21, from 10am-noon. All are welcome to come along and cost is £1.50, which will include tea or coffee and a hot cross bun. There will also be a raffle and cake stall on the day.

Eppleton Cricket Club Junior cricket coaching sessions continue tomorrow night from 5pm-6pm at Hetton School. The session is open to all ages from 13 and below and will cost £2. The Church Road club also runs sessions for under 13s and under 15s at the Emirates ICG in Durham every Sunday from 2pm until 3pm. Any new players are welcome to come along. Easington Lane Community Access point is to hold an Easter fete and coffee morning on Saturday, March 19, from 9.30am until 12.30pm. All are welcome to attend.

Hetton Local and Natural History Society is to host a Hetton Mining Memories and Memorabilia event on Monday, February 29, at 7pm in the Hetton and Eppleton Community Hall. This is an opportunity for you to take along photographs and other items of interest and talk about their significance. In addition you will be able to learn about future events and new projects. The meeting will discuss the Colliery Banner group, Munro Photo collection, ELCAP Mining Photos, MS Charity Craft Stall, Heritage Sculpture group, Corn Mills of Hetton, Nicholas Woods Tomb and 3D Model Hetton Railway.
