Hetton - Down Your Way

Hetton Blacksmith Shop is holding an open day on Saturday from 10am-2pm.Everyone is welcome to come along to this free event and watch owner John Guy demonstrate traditional skills.Chat about his work and the history of one of the oldest buildings in Hetton.This is a unique living museum experience.

Hetton and District Art club are running an exhibition of art work at Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens on Burdon Road Sunderland, until June 26.

All are welcome to come and see the great work.

It’s the last chance to see Hetton School.

The school will be open on Thursday, June 23, to have a look about, take lots of photos and share memories one last time, before the demolition.

It is open between 5.15pm-6pm and is free for a guided tour.

There will also be a final summer show in the main hall starting at 7pm, £3 per ticket, available from Hetton School.

Eppleton Cricket Club Junior coaching continues this week.

Sessions are held every Thursday at Church Road from 6pm-8pm for all ages and abilities.

The club are on the lookout for new Under-11s players.
