Hetton - Down Your Way

Armistice Day is being commemorated once again on Friday, November 11, at the Memorial Peace Garden on Moorsley Road, Low Moorsley, starting at 10.30am in time for the installation of the crosses at 10.45am. The Wall of Heroes will once again be on display in the Hut and refreshments will be served after the ceremony by members of the community association. Santa will also be visiting Moorsley on Saturday, December 3, from 4pm to 6pm and free timed tickets will be available at the Hut from Monday, November 7, during drop-in sessions on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am to noon.

Nicola Cook, Chief Opportunity Officer and CEO of Shortcutd Ltd, is going to Hetton School on Friday between 9.50am and 11.30am to give a motivational event to the students with a message centring around, Respect, Learn, Achieve, Aiming High, Resilience and Standing out from the crowd.

On Saturday between 5pm and 11.45, The Culture for Hetton is holding a fundraising night featuring local punk band The Relitics, Uproar and Uncle Paf. Go along and support this good cause and listen to some great local musicians. Price £5 on the door at Bob Paisley Bar, Hetton Town Centre, Welfare Road.
