Herringtons, Farringdon and Lakeside - Down Your Way

A table of members from the St Chad's Labour Party supported neighbouring MP Julie Elliott's Burns supper at the Exchange Building in High Street East. Guests enjoyed an excellent dinner which included the traditional course of haggis tatties and neeps. Guest speaker was Dan Jarvis the MP for Barnsley Central.

The Herrington village show committee will meet on Monday, February 22, at 7 pm at Middle Herrington Methodist Church to plan the 2016 event. Groups and societies in the area are invited to send representatives to plan the show. Individuals interested in helping keep alive the village show tradition are more than welcome. Sections planned include horticulture, flower arranging, cookery, sugarcraft, craft, embroiderary, photography and a children’s section.

The next South Forum meeting will take place on Wednesday, February 24, at 12.30pm at Farringdon Jubilee Centre, The Launch Pad.

Farringdon Jubilee Centre will be starting Tea and Teach sessions running from Fresh Start Cafe on a Wednesday and Friday morning from 9. 30am to 11.30am. The drop-in sessions will offer you advice and support on using your tablet or iPad. You will also be able to get help with any of your other IT queries.
