The Sunderland Embroiderers' Guild will be holding its annual strawberry tea at St Aiden's Parish Centre, New Herrington, Houghton, on Saturday at 2pm. There will be an exhibition by the Materialistics as well as sales tables and a cake stall. The entrance fee is £3 and all are welcome.

Ladies are wanted to attend a new adult colouring class to take place in Middle Herrington Methodist Church either Monday from 1pm-3pm or Friday from 1pm-3pm. Adult colouring is a proven therapy which soothes the mind, helps with mental health issues, confidence and improving social skills. Sessions will cost £2.50 to cover costs of the church hall and refreshments. About 12 ladies are needed to cover costs. Anyone interested, contact Sandra on 0191 528 7107 or email [email protected]

A craft class, including card making, meets in Middle Herrington Methodist Church in Crow Lane on Thursdays from 10am to noon. Beginners are welcome. On Wednesdays a knit and natter and patchwork group meets from 10am to noon. For more information, ring Mary on 0191 520 0835.
