Herringtons, Farringdon and Lakeside - Down Your Way

Houghton and Sunderland South MP Bridget Phillipson was out and about supporting the Macmillan Coffee morning. Events in Shiney Row, St Chad's Church hall and Oakfield Court in East Herrington were on her itinerary and all were well supported. That was a lot of cake and coffee before.

The 2nd Herrington Scouts will be holding their jumble sale on Friday, October 14, in the Scout Hut, Crow Lane, from 7pm. Donations of sale items will be welcome, drop off at the hut on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Fridays from 7pm to 8pm. To arrange a collection of items from the Herrington area only, call 4162036.

Herrington Flower Club will hold its annual Christmas market on Tuesday, November 1, from 6pm to 9pm at the Health and Racquet Club, Doxford Park. There will be more than 25 stalls offering great ideas for presents. Entrance is free

Thanks to everyone who supported the Macmillan coffee morning held in St Chad’s Church hall. A total of £550 was raised. Thanks also goes to the staff and clients of Altered Images, who raised a further £250.
