Join costume designer Meredith Towne for a lively talk celebrating women’s fashion throughout history, part of International Women’s Day. Glitz and Glamour will feature a display of original costumes and accessories at Sunderland City Library and Arts Centre on Tuesday, March 8, at 10.30am. Sunderland Pianoforte Society will meet in Sunderland Pottery Room at Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens, Burdon Road, on Tuesday, March 8, at 7.15pm for a recital by Dario Llanos Javierre. Entrance is £12.50 and full subscription (6 recitals) is £60, Accompanied children (16 and under) go free, full-time students and those in receipt of benefit £6. Toddler Group meets on Tuesdays at Sunderland Minster from 9.30am to 11.30am. Refreshments are available.
