Help clear up footpath

Over the past two summers a small group of volunteers have worked really hard to keep the footpath behind Monkwearmouth Academy clear for walkers, dog walkers and bike riders to enjoy, but we need more help.

If there any youth groups or community groups that need a challenge and want to do some good work for the community, come along, everyone will be made welcome. Even if you can only spare one hour, would be grateful.

We will be clearing dead trees and rough grass ready to plant wild flower seed to encourage bees and butterflies.

Come along Saturday and Sunday, May 7 and 8, from 10am. Meet at the bridge behind the school, or phone Maureen on 5160855 for more information.
