If you think you’ve got the Genfactor then this could be your chance to shine and win £500.

The talent contest is designed to give young people the opportunity to showcase their talents. By taking part they learn new skills, meet new people and gain confidence by performing in front of a live audience.

Michelle Meldrum, executive director (Operations), Gentoo said: “We’re delighted to celebrate Genfactor’s tenth year. Since its launch, we have seen so many incredibly talented performers.

“It’s great to watch young people’s confidence grow and what many of them have gone on to achieve, and we are so proud of everyone who has entered Genfactor. Thanks to the talented young people in our city for making Genfactor the brilliant event that it is. I hope the competition continues to inspire future generations and opens up new opportunities for young people in Sunderland.”
