Hartlepool United season ticket holders will receive tickets through the post for Saturday's League Two opener against Colchester United.

Pools have encountered a hitch with their ground entrance procedures after being “let down by the suppliers for the new turnstile system”.

The club released a statement to say they are sending out tickets for the first two games, against Colchester and Notts County, to all season ticket holders as their season cards won’t work.

Pools issued the following statement this morning.

“The club is in the process of sending out match tickets for the opening two games of the campaign to season ticket holders after being let down by suppliers of the new turnstiles,” read the statement.

“During the summer months, the club has invested heavily in a state-of- the-art ticketing system which allows season tiicket holders to enter the ground using a new season Ticket card.

“However, we’ve been let down by the suppliers of the required turnstiles, which means that there will now be a short delay in getting the system up and running.

“As a result, season ticket holders will be receiving complimentary tickets for the games against Colchester United and Notts County in the post this week.

“These tickets must be brought to the games to allow entry to Victoria Park – there will be no entry for supporters only bringing their season ticket cards.

“We would like to apologise to supporters for this inconvenience and thank you for your co-operation.”
