Hartlepool United rocked by departure of Russ Green
It is understood the club’s long-serving chief executive resigned from his position at the club on Friday.
Pools have, thus far, made no comment on the situation.
Green has been an integral figure at Victoria Park, in particular during the Great Escape season when owners Increased Oil Recovery did an 11th-hour U-turn and pulled out of the sale of the club to the group The Monkey Hangers 2014.

Hide AdGreen was then just as instrumental when IOR did sell to JPNG, who bought Pools in the summer of 2015, Russ continuing in his role as chief executive.
He hit the headlines this year when he walked all the way from Victoria Park to Wembley with HUFC president Jeff Stelling on the Men United March.
Thanks to the efforts of Hartlepool’s hroic foot soldiers, more than £300,000 was raised for Prostate Cancer UK as well as raising awareness about the disease.
