Happy Days as Sunderland boxer Lee Mould takes on the Fonz
The Fonz in question is Nottinghamshire boxer Alexander Anderson, who fights under the name Fonz Alexander.
Mould will tackle the 28-year-old at Gateshead Leisure Centre a week on Saturday.

Hide AdIt’s not the bout the Sunderland boxer wanted, but Mould’s coach, Mal Gates, said it was the best they could get. The crowd-pleasing fighter had been gearing up for a British Challenge Belt derby against fellow Wearsider Trevor Crewe.
Alas, the match collapsed on the day it was due to be launched at a press conference at Gateshead’s Hilton Hotel, Crewe having pulled out with a damaged hand.
Promoters Fighting Chance made desperate attempts to secure a substitute opponent, to no avail.
“Lee had already had a couple of bouts get called off so he was gutted when the fight with Trevor fell through,” said Gates.

“Fighting Chance tried to get a Challenge bout for Lee but nothing came off.
“But he’s got a fight against Fonz Alexander.
“It was important to get Lee back out there, he’s been so unfortunate.
“We just need to get things moving for him again. It’s four rounds against a decent opponent, Fonz is better than his record suggests.”

Hide AdThe Newark welterweight has just three career wins, though he is no pushover – for all he has a long stretch of defeats on his log, he has only failed to hear the final bell three times.
Given the lack of British Challenge Belt opposition, it is not that bad a way for Mould to return. It will be exactly 12 months since the 26-year-old made an unsuccessful challenge for the English light-welterweight title.
Mould was outpointed by Adam LIttle in Blackpool, his first defeat as a professional, though he gave a typical all-action display.
Gates will be hoping a strong display against Alexander will be followed by a longer fight next time out.
