Grundfos welcomes EU guestsguests

Two sets of visitors have been given an insight into one of Sunderland's largest employers '“ and the city itself.

Grundfos has played host to German and Danish guests as part of separate learning programmes.

Germans Tim Wuestefeld and Torben Graser have been on 12-week placements in the city, while Danes Michael Mikhelsen and Jeppe Skals are spending six months at the Castletown site.

HR director Catherine Attwell said: “We regularly host visits from colleagues from around the world.

“As part of that, we tell them about Sunderland and its culture and arrange a few nights out for them.

“The German lads are here on specialised placements, while Michael and Jeppe are part of a regular exchange. We try to give them a taste of each of the departments here, so they’re moved around.”
