Sunderland Conservative Women's Organisation will meet tomorrow, at the Community Centre, Stannington Grove,  at 2pm.  Guest speaker will be Dennis McDonald, who will present the case for leaving the EU. Guests and gentlemen are very welcome to attend.

Thornholme Residents’ Association will meet in Ashbrooke Sports Club on Monday, May 23, at 6 pm.

Northumbria Police will host its next St Michael’s Ward PACT on Tuesday, May 24, at Auckland Homes, Hill View Road, commencing 6pm

The next meeting of St Michael’s Residents’ Association will be on Wednesday, May 25, at Auckland Homes, Hill View Road, at 6.30pm

St Michael’s Councillors, Michael Dixon, Robert Oliver and Peter Wood, will hold their next ward surgery on Wednesday, May 25, in St Timothy’s Lutheran Church, Queen Alexandra Road, from 10am to 11am.

Ashmore Residents’ Association, chaired by Liz Griffiths, held its latest meeting last week in the British Legion Club, Grange Crescent, when residents were joined by Councillor Robert Oliver. Various items were discussed including fly-tipping and road repairs. The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 13, same venue, at 7.30pm.

St Michael’s Ward Conservatives held their AGM recently at the community centre, Stannington Grove, when George Brown was re-elected chairman. The main feature of the meeting was a presentation to Margaret Forbes at her final ward meeting in an official capacity after 33 years as ward Councillor. Guest speaker to lead the farewells was former St Michael’s councillor from some years back, Isabel Graham. Everyone at the very well-attended meeting wished Margaret Forbes a happy retirement and extended their thanks for all her hard work over the years.
