Grangetown and Ashbrooke - Down Your Way

Around the world there are 1.3million Rotarians and one of their main targets is the elimination of polio. The Rotary Club of Sunderland, along with 33,000 other Rotary Clubs, has contributed millions of dollars to support immunisation teams since 1985. Polio is incurable but completely vaccine preventable and has been reduced worldwide by 99.9%. We are so close to seeing the end of polio with a few cases reported this year in Nigeria and Afghanistan. Rotarians will redouble their efforts to ensure the world is polio free in the next few years
